My family are life-long homeschoolers and this is a community we love and cherish.

In the wake of devastating news out of Apalachee High School, countless families are turning to homeschooling to keep their children safe. Many families are pulling their children out of public school immediately, and have no idea where to begin. Our family would like to help.

While our Fall Semester math classes have already started, we will be offering a 2nd session of year-long math classes to families who have decided to homeschool in response to the school shooting in Georgia.

To further assist in the transition, and to welcome you to homeschooling, these classes will be offered at 50% off as a service to the community.

Class sizes are kept to a minimum, so please fill out the form below and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

We offer year long Saxon Math Group Classes as well as Private Maths Tutoring

Class Details

In class we cover anywhere from 3-5 new concepts (the pacing is not precise as it is adjusted based on the individual students in each section…sometimes we need a little more time, sometimes we move more quickly)

Each Lesson Contains

1. New concept material

2. Practice set specific to lesson: 5-10 questions

3. Problem set “mixed practice” which covers all material learners have covered thus far ~25 questions

In Class

Each class we cover the new lesson material for 3-5 lessons (3-5 new concepts). We do the entire practice set in a round robin style with students working out all of the questions, not just the ones they are called upon to answer. Once this is completed whatever time we have remaining is used to work on the “problem set” mixed practice from the first lesson we covered that day. Saxon uses a spiral approach which continually revisits old concepts to ensure full comprehension.

The remaining mixed practice is set as homework.

Tests: We generally do not do the tests in class time (there is a test every approximately 10 lessons) as many opt not to complete the tests. However, if you choose to complete them and you need assistance I am more than happy to schedule a private tutoring session.

Additional Assistance: Many of our students will take the group class and then schedule a weekly, or even occasional, private session if they have any particular issues with a certain type of question. These are available at a discounted rate to group class students.
